Volunteer Personal Attendant of Care Program (VPAC)
What Is VPAC?
The Volunteer Personal Attendant of Care (VPAC) program connects riders with a friendly volunteer who accompanies them on Enid Transit for comfort, reassurance, and light, non-medical support.
VPAC may help individuals who need someone to ride home with them following a medical appointment or procedure but do not have a family member or friend available.

The Volunteer Personal Attendant of Care, or VPAC, program connects eligible riders with a friendly volunteer who rides Enid Transit alongside them for reassurance and light, non-medical support.
A VPAC volunteer may assist a rider through boarding, seating, connections, and exiting the vehicle. This program may be especially helpful for someone who needs a supportive person to accompany them home following a procedure or appointment.
A VPAC Volunteer Can:
- Ride Enid Transit alongside the client.
- Provide reassurance throughout the trip.
- Assist with boarding, seating, connections, and exiting.
- Offer a calm and supportive presence.
VPAC volunteers do not provide medical care or replace professional caregivers. Their role is simply to help riders feel more comfortable and supported while using transit.
Become a VPAC Volunteer
VPAC volunteers can make a meaningful difference with a commitment of approximately 30 to 60 minutes per ride. Volunteers ride Enid Transit with clients and receive a $3 reimbursement per completed trip.
